Working with data

If you do a survey or a study you will need to represent your data visually. Bar charts and pie charts are often good choices. Have a look at the links below for some ideas:

  • Have a look at some different ways to represent data on BBC Bitesize to get you started. The bar charts article has some information about some slightly more sophisticated charts like dual and combined bar charts that you might find helpful. Curiously there is more detail on the KS3 pages than the GCSE pages.
  • You could try a video like this about different types of graphs and their use in Psychology
