At the end of last term forty-five Year 8 students wrote some fabulous Gothic short stories as part of our Gothic Fiction inquiry. These have now been published in a beautiful one-off hardback book in the Library. With chilling titles like Haunting Memories and The Bloodshot Eyes of a Bird, their stories have really captured the foreboding Gothic atmosphere, and all students are welcome to pop in and read them...if they dare.
If there is sufficient interest, we are considering offering a paperback version of the book for sale (at cost price) to parents of those whose stories are included, for which we would need parental consent for all of the authors. Parents of those Year 9 students involved will receive an email about this next week. We would be grateful for as many replies as possible, even if you do not want a copy of the book, as we cannot include any stories without consent and that project will cannot go ahead if too many stories need to be removed.
