World Book Day (March 6th) is around the corner!
Lexicon and WH Smith will be accepting the £1 book tokens from Thursday February 13th to Sunday March 25th, so now is a good time to pick up your free £1 book. We will hand out the physical tokens as soon as we receive them, but if you want to use yours before then you can download a digital token here. As booksellers bear the full cost of the tokens, please only use one per child under the age of 18. You can exchange your token for one of this year's £1 books, or if you would prefer to use your token for something else, you can use it to get £1 off any book or audiobook retailing for £2.99 or more.
As Guernsey Book Week (from the Guille-Allès Library) will not be until October this year, we are planning a range of exciting activities, events and competitions to celebrate and promote reading in the week following World Book Day - more details to follow.
