Linus is a little swift who dreams of flying with Royal Bird Force in World War II. He loses his sister when flying from Africa to England. He hoped to get in to A squadron with the fast peregrine falcons but he is sent to B squadron with a mixture of owls, hawks and magpies. The plot follows Linus and the Royal Bird Force on a heroic journey. They have lots of adventures including secret missions, catching spies and helping the RAF in the biggest air battle of the war. I like this story because it is a funny action-packed tale with great illustrations. It teaches you that even if you are small you can achieve great things.
