Teaching staff should have access to this SharePoint site. If you don't, please ask the IT support department to help you.

FOSIL Group website

The FOSIL Group is a worldwide community of educators dedicated to sharing good practice about inquiry and to learning and growing together. The website is run by Darryl and Jenny and it is a great place to go for an introduction to FOSIL, to read about what other educators are doing and also to share your journey.

It is also the easiest place to find FOSIL resources (e.g. the Investigative Journal).

We would encourage staff to register and to document their inquiry journey in the forum (usually Inquiry and resource Design). This encourages critical reflection, gives you a record of the journey and encourages others. This is great CPD and also provides you with a public record of your inquiry work that you can share.

All of our Presentations (internal and external) are available on the site, along with articles that are published externally.

If you register you can subscribe to the forums to receive email notifications of new posts.

Virtual Library: LibGuides

The Virtual Library is the portal for all our resources for students and staff, and is hosted on a site called LibGuides.

On the homepage you will find links to:

  • The Library (book) catalogue
  • Subscription Databases
  • Reading lists
  • News and book review blogs
  • LibGuides for different phases of the school (including this one for staff). LibGuides are mini websites that might support particular inquiries or courses, or provide access to curated sets of resources. Feel free to explore and talk to Jenny or Darryl if you would like us to set one up for you.
