What does the word Messiah mean? Why were the Jewish people expecting one? Why do Jewish and Christian people have such different ideas about the Messiah, when they were working from the same scriptures?
During the course of this inquiry your class will explore the writings and stories of nine Prophets (eight Old Testament and one New Testament) who brought messages from God about the Messiah that he was planning to send. You will then make a class documentary to answer the question "Who is the Messiah that the Jews were expecting?".
